      Exact Fitment for Overhead Legacy

      If your garage door opener has a grinding sound and won’t open or close, this is likely the problem. Our 23 year old drive gear split in half.
      Taking apart the overhead door opener gear box was just as simple as using the same hex head screw for all of the outer parts. In under an hour, I had fixed my opener. Literally, save yourself $150-180 by doing this job yourself. All the local garage fixers would NOT just sell me the part. They all want $60 for a service call. This is a universal part with the Genie brand. All you need is some lithium grease to lube it up a bit when you re-install a new gear. Anyone handy in the neighborhood can also do this for you. No need to call a door service for this fix.

      Fantastic product, fair price, and helpful employees. I called to do some troubleshooting and the woman I spoke with was very helpful. I ordered the drive gear and the swap for my python opener was simple. It seems to have fixed my issue. Very pleased with my purchase and the price was super competitive. A+ in my book.

      This part fit exactly as expected and fixed my garage door opener. The door wasn't opening all the way, when I tore my opener apart my driver gear was able to spin free on the shaft. It took about an hour total time to take the opener apart, replace this drive gear, and reassemble the opener. Door is opening great now. Shipping was very prompt!
