The Dry Contact Adapter is compatible with Genie and Overhead Door Series III model garage door openers. It allows a standard push button to be wired to a series III garage door openers. The adapter is installed between the push button and garage door opener push button wire terminals.

It is necessary to use a Dry Contact Adapter when installing the Aladdin Connect kit to a Genie or Overhead Door series III garage door opener. A Genie or Overhead Door series III garage door opener can be identified by the wall console. A series III garage door opener will use a wall console with black button (part #37222R or #37223R)

This Series III Dry Contact Adapter has been developed as a solution openers that use Series III technology, making it possible to use common ‘on/off switched’ inputs when required with these garage door openers.

This piece goes in between the switch and the NGX wall console input. Examples of such switches include doorbell switches, typical key switches, and aftermarket accessories.  If your garage door opener has a wired gray wall console with black buttons, you have an opener with Series III electronics.
