HELICAL DRIVE GEAR

We were quoted over $400 to replace our garage door opener. I pulled the cover off and saw that the gear was stripped. I found the replacement gear here for $18 and placed my order. A few days later the part arrived. It was just as described and made for an easy repair. Shipping was fast.

My 20 year old opener stopped working, but buying a new opener would mean carrying around two different openers in each car. Fortunately i was able to order a replacement gear, which was shipped the next day and arrived the day after that, and which was installed in about 15 minutes. Couldn't have been easier.

pleased that you stock parts for older opener. Seems a shame to through away a perfectly good door opener because of a plastic gear not being available. Was not able to source part in Alberta. Thx for carrying parts

Repaired the door opener in less than 1 hour start to finish. The model 456 was designed to replace this gear easily.

Less learned - either lube this gear annually or replace every 19 years. After replacing this gear myself, I can tell you this Model 456 is a solidly made lift. Remove the cover and the three bolts holding the motor and worm gear assembly and replace. Not a big deal for most diyer's.
