KEY - BLANK

Blank keys worked great, though I wish not as expensive as they are since they still have to be rekeyed.

Key blank worked fine - goes into the lock. Went to big box stores but neither their automated system nor the one operated by a person can cut this key -- even when provided with the original and with this blank key. They want to provide the blank key -- or it does not "work" in their world. Had to go to a locksmith - who used a simple standard old style replicating keycutting machine- in the back of his van - cut 3 keys in under a minute ( $1 each) . Just so you know. This is the only way to get it done. Hugely overpriced at $8 here each for the blanks - and then postage too. But - once and done. I suppose there is a cost to keeping parts available. Fair enough. Cannot get them elsewhere - anywhere. Overhead Door of Allentown PA who originally installed the doors in new construction in 1999 - did not even return my calls and won't answer the phone - so I gave up on them. Done now. Glad this company still keep the keys available. New keylock would cost a lot more.

Worked perfectly, and received the blanks quickly. I have absolutely no complaints on service or product. But wonder what make these blanks so special that they cost so much, and so much to ship.

Perfect fit

This key fit the outside lock like the one pictured under LOCK KIT and also OUTSIDE LOCK (HURD LOCK). My key is round and silver NOT gold or square!. My local professional locksmith does not have this blank and couldn't get a different one to work. My local Overhead Door said you can't get spare keys it only comes with 2, so here I am ordering keys from Overhead Door, go figure. If you are in doubt, this is the correct key. Door was just installed Fall 2020.

The 4 blanks you sent me were taken to a key maker & they work well.
