      We tried another type handle but it would not fit the holes already in our insulated door.

      High quality, easy to install and matches original equipment. Heavy duty key is a bonus as many aftermarket kits use a cheap brass key that is too weak to actuate the lock. I recommend this item.

      Lock set has been installed and works as it should. My only gripe is that it lacks instructions. I was able to figure it out but some instructions and a inventory of parts would have been helpful.

      There were no installation instructions with the kit. The lock cylinder will not turn with key. Are there installation instructions available to see if I missed something? Old one I had on garage the lock cylinder would turn and would leave door unlocked if desired.

      This kit was not an exact replacement for the original lock set. The picture is of the original set. The screw holes did not match either. All that said, I was able to make it work, and work it does.

      Good Day,
      I found the product to be exactly as advertised - a keyed overhead door lock assembly. Installation is fairly easy requiring basic tools. Identify your door reinforcement points, set your mechanical lock position, mark your holes, and get ready to drill through your door.

      It's great that you sell this product, but: OHD co. installed this garage door not too many years ago and the lock is on the right side of the garage door when facing into the garage. The 'handing' of the old style box (on the inside) used to be reversible, The one you sent me is not. Can't I get an old style box? The outside handle and key cylinder is upside down. The box you sent me is sturdier but does not have the OHD logo on it.
