Works as intended
Bought this for my 455 model Overhead door unit. Took a bit to program since the manual provided did not match my unit, however, still got it to program and works like a charm. Better spending $42 instead of $350 to replace with a new garage door opener unit.

So Easy to Install!
Super easy to program. We failed and tried a universal remote first and realized we'd need to order from here. Shipping was super fast. Absolutely satisfied to have a working garage door opener again!

Garage Door Opener Remote Transmitter Replacement
I first purchased a $12 universal remote garage door opener. Bad mistake. I learned that there are many variables.: the number of dip switches, the dip switches may have 2 positions or 3, and there several frequency options. All must exactly match or it doesn't work. My remote was missing the label that identified the frequency.I emailed photos of my remote and receiver's outside and in, to Overhead Door customer support and they helped me identify the replacement remote that I needed. I'm very satisfied with their support.

Worked!
I bought a "universal" remote from a big-box store, but it didn't work with my 1994 model Overhead Door component. This worked perfectly and was fairly easy to program.

Superb customer service.
I hired Overhead Door in Denver to come out and replace the remotes and do maintenance. (I didn't need maintenance but wanted to take advantage of the trip charge I would pay anyway.) The remotes didn't work. I called a Liftmaster company that said I needed the Genie Master Remote. I ordered them, but they didn't work. Then I found your site. With your help, I ordered the correct remotes, and programming them took five minutes. How can I thank you?

Straightforward
I have an older Overhead Model 556 opener, for which the new universal remotes don't work. Bought two of these, followed instructions in the 556 manual for setting up a remote, and it worked first try. Copied the code switch setting to the second remote and it also worked first try. Doesn't get easier than that.

Technology from the mid-90s
Back then, technology was not as advanced and this unit reflects it. Communication with the motor is weak and slow. It works quite well from inside going out. However, the same is not true the other way around considering that we have a well insulated metal lined door with small windows. Overhead Door manufactures very sturdy and long lasting opener systems and this return to previous decades and the inconvenience associated with it is much less trouble than replacing the entire garage door opener, which is still in excellent condition after over 20 years of use.
