    Product Description

    Complete photocell kit (safe-t-beam system) including the receiving and transmitter photocells and mounting brackets.

    This system is compatible with all Overhead Door Code Dodger and Genie Intellicode garage door openers and is a required safety feature that automatically reverses the garage door if an object passes through the infrared beam. 

    Note: This photocell kit can not be used to upgrade the safety features of a garage door opener that currently does not utilize photocells.

      Simply put does not work with Overhead door opener model 556. I would give it a single star if not for Flo in Huston. Most readers skip 1 star and 5 star reviews, so in order to get people to read I gave it 3 stars, because Flo was marvelous! She waljed me through the printed directions...nothing. I had done it correctly. She looked up my model opener 556. Found schematic gave me direction and said if any other problems call and she would check deeper. No luck with opener. I called and left a message on Saturday. MONDAY morning my phone rings and it was Flo! She checked with other technicians and discovered my model opener was too old to accept the new safety design. Too bad me. Nothing but Praise for Flo and her personal integrity and sence of humor!!! She should get a raise! Sooooo pleasant even with discouraging news.

      Garage door in "new to me" house wouldn't work in the summer. Fiddled with the old sensors and then surrendered. Easy install and now I can count on the door closing when I push the button.

      One of my safety sensons had become defective and blinked Red all the time, Replaced both sensors in the kit and New Sensor has much brighter warning Lights, Easy kit to install, wiring not polarized.
