Local Overhead distributor could not find part, but I did.
My local OVD dealer/service store claimed they could not find the gear on the drive motor. I found it in 5 minutes on this website. Ordered it and was delivered several days later. Then with youtube videos made the repair myself. Thanks,

Sprocket was exactly what I needed!
Exact match for the stripped sprocket in my garage door opener.

Better than the original
Had to replace sprocket due to not knowing that I needed (or how initially) to maintain the balance of my garage door. It became too "heavy" over time which broke the original sprocket. This replacement is all metal vs. the outer layer being plastic on the original. Best of all, the instructions to replace were perfect! I am a strong "do it yourself" woman, so these instructions were very helpful. After tightening up my torsion springs on my garage door, I tackled replacing the sprocket & pulley. Referred to the owners manual to adjusting the closing & opening settings on the opener. And wallah!!! It works like a champ! It's just as quiet as it was when first installed 5 years ago.

correct replacement of flawed initial build
Perhaps I'm being unfair but if the original was the same quality and style of the replacement this would have been easier. A couple of points. This seems to be single piece vs the original which was a central with an outer sprocket. The replacement gearbox is designed to be taken apart. The original requires drilling out rivets.
This should definitely last longer than the original. -
good product
These are better than the one that came with the garage door opener. Mine broke after 2yrs and this sprocket will last forever. Great price easy fix
