      Replacement bottom weather seal for 297 series

      While the new bottom weather seal mounted nicely into the bottom grove of my 297 series garage door, its performance in use is not entirely satisfactory. When the weather seal contacts the garage floor, it folds back towards the interior of the garage. This results in a triangular opening between the bottom weather seal and the garage door stop molding through which wind, water, snow, and small rodents can easily pass. The original equipment weather seal did not have this problem because, as it contacted the garage floor, it compressed equally towards the inside and towards the outside. Suggestions for correcting this problem would be appreciated.

      Excellent Fit, Soft Pliable Seal, Easy to Install.
      Local Overhead dealer quoted $154 for parts and
      labor. Installing it myself only required about 15 minutes.

      The weatherseal was the exact match, thanks to RIchard E. and Katie T. Took the 20 year old ones out (2 doors) and slipped the new seal in without a problem.

      The seal was easy to install. I would recommend the material to be a little heavier gauge if possible.

      Installed easily by myself ... after soaping the track. True test will be when I get a driving rain, but it looks like it will seal very well

      I looked for a replacement seal at a couple of big box home improvement stores, but nobody had seen it. I was able to find it quickly here, and installed easily.
