WiFi BOARD - GENIE WALL MOUNT (6170)

WiFi board on my Genie wallmount GDO, out of warranty of course. Genie useless for help. Found this WiFi board on ODPO, for less than Genie direct pricing. Replaced the board, which isn't hard except for accessing the connectors standing 8ft up a ladder. Make sure to follow directions, especially as to powering off everything. Watch for ESD- - it will kill this board. Once installed, deleted old WiFi ID QR code (new one included with board), then set up the new QR ID code, and cycled the door. Took about 10 min for it to discover the board and clear out a errant door error (it was fine, not sure where that error came from). Working fine, though the Genie Aladdin door app is garbage. The WiFI brd web mangmnt GUI is better (192.168.1.1). Working fine now -- but for how long? Not holding my breath. Just glad to have found this WiFi board on ODPO website, and a better price than Genie's overpriced direct web sales.
