Note: Excludes Series III Overhead Door garage door openers manufactured 2011 and 2012 that use a wall console with black buttons. Part #42609S is only compatible with Overhead Door garage door openers with and existing white button wall console.

Blinking Light is annoying
Overall, this motion sensing wall console is a nice upgrade over the standard opener. It installed very easily but is a bit wider than the original opener requiring me to move it a bit. The motion sensor turns on the light as designed. My only complaint is that the motion sensor blinks constantly at 3x PER SECOND which according to the directions indicates “normal operation”. In fact, if the light ONLY blinks 1x per second it indicates a problem. It’s really annoying. I originally planned on installing 2 other openers, but I’m worried the three of them together (or worse out of sync) will cause seizures. I previously had a 15year old chamberlain opener with similar sensors that didn’t blink at all so this is a big change. I wish there was an option to either turn the led off or make it so it doesn’t blink.
